Scope of work
MBTA seeks furnishing and delivery of disconnect switches and associated accessories for the 25 kV AC overhead contact system at the Widett Layover Facility: six single-pole manual switches, three single-pole motorized switches and one double-pole motorized switch. The procurement follows Specifications 16126P-ET, 16130P-ET and 16960P-ET. Delivery to 100 Foodmart Road, Boston, is due September 2, 2027. Supplier responsibilities include design, manufacture, factory testing, certifications, drawings and freight; site infrastructure, installation and final field testing belong to a separate installation contract. Submit the bid cover letter, evaluation and pricing forms, signed terms and conditions, and insurance information electronically through COMMBUYS. No pre-bid conference is scheduled. Award is based on the lowest priced responsive bid from a responsible supplier.
