IFB 132-26 Widett Layover Facility - Timber Tie Turnouts

MBTA seeks furnishing and delivery of three left-hand No. 8 timber-tie turnouts using 136RE rail for the Widett Layover Facility: one hand-throw turnout and two powered turnouts, to Specification 02855AP and the included Amtrak trackwork specifications. Delivery to 100 Foodmart Road, Boston, is due September 2, 2027. The supplier is responsible for design, fabrication, testing, certifications and freight; on-site installation is assigned to a separate installation contractor. Submit the cover letter, evaluation and pricing forms, signed terms and conditions, and insurance information through COMMBUYS. The specification requires at least three comparable North American transit or railroad contracts, a quality assurance program, and shop drawings before manufacture. No pre-bid conference is scheduled; award is based on the lowest priced responsive bid from a responsible supplier.
