Interurban Trail Extension to Puyallup Project

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife City Hall up to the hour of 1 p.m. local time on October 22, 2026, for the Interurban Trail Extension to Puyallup (20th St E, 6800 Block To 70th Ave E) and will then be opened and publicly read. The work involves the construction of sidewalk on the north side of 20th Street from the 6800 block to 70th Street. Additional improvements include power utility undergrounding, street lighting, landscaping, and associated work. The Contractor shall commence construction activities on the project site no earlier than March 8, 2027. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Bid proposals will be received only at City Hall located at 5411 23rd Street East, Fife, Washington. Proposals received after the date and time listed herein will not be considered. Plans, specifications, addenda, bidders list and plan holders list for this project are also available through the City of Fife’s on-line plan room with the Builders Exchange of Washington. Free of Charge access is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to: “www.bxwa.com” and clicking on "Posted Projects”; “Public Works”; “City of Fife”; and “Projects Bidding”. Bidders are encouraged to “Register” in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”. Deadline for bidder questions is at the close of business five (5) business days preceding the bid opening. Questions response will be issued via addendum. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Bid Document and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, cashier’s check, certified check, postal money order, or a surety bond to the City of Fife in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bids submitted on other than the bond form provided by the City may be subject to rejection. Faxed bids and/or surety bond will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked “sealed bid” with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this advertisement and the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife, 5411 23rd Street, Fife, WA 98424. The City of Fife reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.
